Lowndes' Final Race with Triple Eight

The 2025 season marked the fifth year of Triple Eight’s Supercheap Auto Wildcard program, with reigning Super2 Champion Zach Bates stepping into the #888 Chevrolet Camaro and continuing the program’s tradition of developing emerging Supercars talent.

Bates made his solo debut at Queensland Raceway before joining seven-time Bathurst winner Craig Lowndes for The Bend 500 and Bathurst 1000, pairing one of the sport’s most experienced drivers with one of its brightest young prospects.

Bathurst also marked Lowndes’ final race with Triple Eight, closing an extraordinary 21-year association. The #888 Wildcard celebrated the team’s history while continuing its commitment to developing the next generation.
