Fresh from claiming his maiden Supercars Drivers' Championship, Shane van Gisbergen entered 2017 as the benchmark of the category. Driving the #97 Red Bull Holden Racing Team Commodore, he began the year in outstanding form, winning multiple races early in the season and appearing well placed to defend his crown. His speed remained unquestionable throughout the year, but incidents, penalties and misfortune made consistency difficult. Despite those setbacks, van Gisbergen's aggressive race craft, exceptional car control and outright pace kept him fighting at the front and in championship contention deep into the season.

The championship reached a dramatic conclusion at the inaugural Newcastle Street Circuit, where teammate Jamie Whincup ultimately secured the title. Van Gisbergen finished the year fourth in the Drivers' Championship, a result that didn't fully reflect his outright pace or race-winning potential. While his title defence fell short, the season reinforced his reputation as one of Supercars' most naturally gifted and exciting competitors and provided valuable lessons that would contribute to further championship success in the years ahead.

The suit is presented in Red Bull Ampol Racing gift box with a unique 'Scan for Provenance' QR code, providing permanent access to its official story, race history and digital authentication directly from Triple Eight Race Engineering.

A second Provenance sticker is included should you decide to frame your suit or display it on a mannequin, allowing you to keep its unique provenance close to hand.
